CAMBRIDGE COMMUNITY TELEVISION

438 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge

$2 million ·  8,111 sf · commercial

Highland Development served as general contractor for Cambridge Community Televisions relocation to Massachusetts Avenue in Central Square. Highland converted 10,500 sf of an historical mill space into office, teaching, and studio facilities incorporating cutting edge sound isolation technologies to prevent any sound infiltration from the nearby redline subway and busy central square. CCTV's new headquarters required HD to build two soundproof on-air studios, three editing studios, and run miles of network cable. Project highlights include opening the roof of the building to crane in new structural steel members and installing a free floating spring supported 4” concrete slab for production studios. This high profile project was completed on schedule and within the client's budget.
